About us
Liav Fund is an early-stage investment fund. At Liav, early stage investing means putting capital and experience to work in a start up venture, long before it is fully formed. As such, we participate in the value creation that comes with developing a new business.
We invest in entrepreneurs who have the ability to develop unique technology backed by a realistic business model. Our investment fund is based around a small group of very experienced investment professionals working collaboratively to build a portfolio of promising companies. We then put our experience and our networks to work to help those companies build valuable businesses.
Over the past 20 years, we have been involved in the development and management of companies in the areas of media, enterprise software, mobile and telecommunications and Internet companies. We have, in our prior experience, participated in the acquisition of over $175m in capital. That experience has convinced us that we can deliver high returns to our investors through a structured fund where we source investments, carry out due diligence and support our portfolio companies.

Israel Teiblum, Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Israel Teiblum was most recently Senior Partner at FITE (First Israeli Turnaround Enterprise Fund). Prior to joining FITE, Israel held CEO and CFO positions in Magic Software and Cash-U Technologies and senior managerial positions at Hitachi Data Systems.
David Leichner, General Partner and Co-Founder
David Leichner is a veteran of the high tech industry with significant experience in the areas of enterprise software and communications. Most recently David was CMO of BluePhoenix Solutions a leading supplier of enterprise modernization solutions. Prior to this position he was CMO of Telrad Networks, Vice President of Marketing at Unipier and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Magic Software. Before Magic David held various marketing management and technical positions with e-SIM, Information Builders, Bezeq, Salomon Brothers and TRW. David holds a BA in Information Systems Management and a MBA in International Business from City University of New York.
Uri Rahamim, Partner
Uri Rahamim was most recently the VP and General Manager of Hitachi Internetworking Division. Uri founded the Internetworking Division within Hitachi and managed its worldwide business development, sales, marketing and product development from inception. Prior to this position Uri held various engineering and product development senior management positions.
Assaf Katan, Partner
Assaf Katan headed up the Business Development activities within Comverse's Mobile Avatars Group. Previously in Comverse he was a Director of Portfolio Management in the Corporate Marketing division, responsible for Comverse's cross-divisional marketing strategy. Prior to Comverse Assaf was an entrepreneur and co-founder of a successful consulting activity. He was also a Team Leader in Shaldor, the leading strategic consulting firm in Israel.
